United Airlines will start offering free high speed internet powered by STARLINK. The service is initially expected to be available on some planes with United’s intention to make it available on all planes within the next years.

This could be the start of a new era in the aviation industry. First because the new service is expected to offer much faster internet connectivity compared to the current available services and second because it will be offered for free. It will be interesting to find if other airlines will follow United.
